I ordered these pants for working around the house and they do the job exceptionally well. I was tired of wearing out my denim jeans quite often (they're not made like they used to be) and I wanted something rugged. The stitching is high quality and the fabric seems durable; time will tell how they hold up after many wear/wash cycles. They did not shrink after the first wash & dry. The button is unlike any that I have seen before, it has a little play designed into it that allows rough handling when unbuttoning with one hand. I like the extra pockets to hold whatever tools I'm using (there's even a separate one to slip my phone in) but they don't stick out when empty, unlike other cargo pants. They are very sleek and stylish, I don't look like a dork when wearing them out of the house to run errands.
I also use these for hiking. While they are not as light or breathable as "performance" fabrics used in hiking pants, they will be far more durable over the long run. Brush and rocks will not snag or tear these pants easily. They allow for plenty range of motion and the pockets come in handy for snacks, a multi-tool/knife, and my kid's trail treasures (rocks).
These are a great find, I am really pleased with them. Make sure you get the next size up from what you typically wear for the waist, otherwise they'll be tight. The length is spot-on, get your normal size for that measurement. I prefer my pants to be a little extra long so the don't ride too high ("high-waters") when I sit or crouch.
Full Disclosure - I paid full-price for these and am not getting compensation for this review. I am just sharing my experience to help you decide. Happy Trails!
